About the Project

Voice of Migration: Future Communicators Project (VoM) is a 30-month Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership bringing together public institutions, universities, NGOs and communication specialists from Türkiye, Austria, Bulgaria, Spain, Greece and Italy. The project explores how ethical journalism, digital communication and artificial intelligence can help transform the way migration is communicated across Europe. Through international cooperation, participants will develop practical communication skills, experiment with innovative storytelling formats, and co-create educational resources that promote more accurate, balanced and human-centred migration narratives. By combining research, training and community engagement, Voice of Migration strengthens the capacity of young communicators to become responsible storytellers and active contributors to more inclusive public discourse.

Communities and Decision-Makers

Public institutions, local communities and policymakers seeking practical approaches to combating misinformation and fostering more informed conversations about migration

Migration is one of the defining issues shaping today’s societies, yet public conversations are too often influenced by misinformation, polarised debates and simplified narratives that overlook people’s lived experiences. Young communicators have unprecedented opportunities to shape public opinion through digital media. At the same time, rapid technological advances including artificial intelligence are transforming how stories are created, shared and consumed. Without the right knowledge and ethical foundations, these tools can reinforce stereotypes as easily as they can challenge them.

Voice of Migration believes that better stories can foster greater understanding. By empowering young communicators and youth workers with the skills to communicate migration responsibly, the project aims to  contribute to more informed public debate, stronger social cohesion and more inclusive communities.
